Proofreading

What is proofreading?

Proofreading is the process of checking content for spelling mistakes, incorrect use of punctuation and poor grammar.

I’ve got a long track record of picking up errors that others have missed thanks to my editorial background. In particular, I’ve had experience of proofreading the following:

  • News
  • Features
  • Blogs
  • Magazines
  • Newsletters
  • Websites
  • Emails
  • Slides
  • Press releases
  • Essays
  • Reports
  • Posters
  • Leaflets
  • Flyers

Why do I need proofreading?

Poorly written content can damage your credibility. Even something relatively minor like missing commas or apostrophes can reflect badly on your organisation. Meanwhile, serious lapses like spelling mistakes and duplicate words project an image of carelessness to the world. Would you trust an organisation that makes such a bad first impression?

I’m able to offer a professional proofreading service that roots out spelling errors, poor punctuation and weak turns of phrase. I can draw on years of editing experience to identify any mistakes in your copy, giving you the opportunity to fix things before it’s too late.
