What is PR?
PR, or public relations, is a promotional discipline that looks to secure good publicity for an organisation or individual.
I’ve worked as an account manager at a PR agency and as a press officer for companies, community groups and sports organisations, as well as being a journalist working with PRs on a daily basis. This has given me the experience to provide a range of Manchester PR services to clients, including:
- News
- Features
- Blogs
- Emails
- Press releases
- Reports
- Posters
- Leaflets
- Flyers
- Advertorials
- Broadcast opportunities
- Thought leadership
- Media relations
How does PR work?
Being a press officer is all about having PR contacts. At PR Agency One, I secured coverage in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail and The Sun, as well as regional, local and B2B trade media. Meanwhile, my time as press and publicity officer at Green Chorlton gave me a sound working knowledge of the B2C environment, and saw Chorlton’s Big Green Festival appear in places like the Manchester Evening News, the South Manchester Reporter, Manchester’s 106.6 and All FM.
As a result, I’m confident that my Manchester PR skills can help any organisation. I can work with you to devise a PR strategy that meets your organisation’s aims. What’s more, I can then turn to my copywriting and social media marketing background to produce PR material in line with that strategy, before selling it into the media using my contacts.
This holistic approach enables you to provide input to one person at every stage of the process, giving you more control and ensuring your organisation gets the right kind of publicity.
